Your job

As a Junior Product Manager you support the Category Team and are responsible for maintaining and improving our relationships with brands within the digital entertainment industry. Together with our Product Managers, you ensure that both existing and new partners enjoy working with us.


You get to know the goals and issues of our partners and you know how to convince them to invest in campaigns or promotions with Startselect. Think of obtaining exclusive product and price promotions, but also setting up shared (marketing) plans. You collaborate with the marketing team to ensure a proper execution of the agreements made.


In summary, you keep yourself busy with the following:

  • You act internally as an extension of our partners and guarantee their brand and house style rules. After a while you know everything about the brands and their products and you share relevant information with the right colleagues
  • You are involved in preparing campaigns and promotions and request product-related images and texts from our partners
  • You check the presentation of our products and promotions: is the price right? Does the coupon work? Is the Instagram post live?
  • You analyze both our assortment and the product life cycle and help with the creation of new products in our system
  • You help build a planning and streamlined process from the (MDF) agreement with a partner and monitoring the quality of the execution, to receiving the agreed amount.


You will become part of the Category team, where you will strengthen our current Product Managers. You start with supporting activities, but there is a lot of opportunity for growth. In time you will focus more on relationship management and you will be responsible for your own partner portfolio.

Job requirements

What do you bring into the game?

  • HBO working and thinking level, obtained through training in a commercial direction or recent work experience
  • You have commercial insight, are good at convincing others and get energy from achieving targets
  • You work in a structured and accurate manner
  • You have a good command of the English language, both in speaking and writing
